Default Tamiya TEU-101BK

Is the TEU-101BK not able to be used with a 7.4v lipo battery? I have been trying to get one of these ESC's to work in my Rally Car but it doesn't seem to want to work with a 7.4v lipo battery. It works perfectly with a 6 cell nimh battery.

when I connect thel lipo the steering works but the ESC just flases red and beeps. Is there anything that can be done or are these ESC just designed for the 7.2v nimh batteries.

Thanks,
Larry

I use 7.4v lipo on the same ESC. No issues.

Hmmmmm....I have one of these esc's that does the exact same thing. I just thought it was dead but I was using lipos to try it out so today I'll try a standard 6 cell nimh on it and see what happens. I'll let you know .

I installed deans on two of these this weekend to run lipo and everything worked perfect. Didn't have to recalibrate or anything.

Did you try doing a recalibration?
What motor are you using?
Does your receiver have built-in BEC?

I got one to work the other just may be bad. Do you have to have the motor attached to get it to work?
