Default Team associated XP Digital Ds1313 servo help

I bought this Team associated xp digital Ds1313 servo for my Losi 8ight 1.0 buggy. I have the Losi 2000 lipo battery on my buggy and would like to know if the lipo battery will or wont burn the servo? I have the servo brand new never mounted in the box. I would like to no more about it before i do anything with it. Thanks

that lipo will send that in to flames... you need to get a regulator

Not true it will work without a regulator not recommended but will work, 3 months and no issues with mine

might not work well on your reciever though

I would use the regulator since the servo itself is only rated for 6v. DO NOT run it without the regulator it will burn up and then they will not warranty it because of that. Regulator's are cheaper than new servos.

So should I use the hitec 7955tg for steering And the DS1313 on the throttle?
I'm asking because I don't want the ds1313 to die out on my throttle and have my buggy run away from me.
