Hey, all. I am looking to upgrade from my current 3PM radio to a 3PKS. However, I have 10 FM crystal recievers and I don't want to change to DSM or buy a bunch of synthesized receivers. So, I was wondering if anyone has tried a 3PKS with a synthesized module with a crystal reciever. If so, is there any glitching or any problems when using the synthesized radio with a crystal reciever? Any input is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

That should be no problem. I use a Ko helios with a synthesized (Jr module ) with a KO helios cyrstal receiver with no problem. As long as both are compatible and on the same frequency it should not make a difference.

The only problem you may run into is some of the older receivers can not run in super fast response mode.

I have just the regular 3PK and thats the setup I use - synth tx and either crystal based rxs (over 2 dozen) or a synth type rx (one). Nearly all of mine are PCM rxs. I've never had a prob. Not sure what exact diffs are between 3PK and 3PKS, so my experience my not be helpful.

I run a 3PKS synth and about 15 crystal receivers...mix of dual and single conversion futaba and hitec's... all of them work as well as the synth receiver that came with the radio.
