Default Tekin RS Pro setup questions

Hey all,
I just got my SC10/RS Pro setup all put together with a Spektrum DX2 radio, lipo and am just having a few issues setting everything up. I have got the setting changed on the speed control to have the lipo cutoff, but i'm having trouble getting the brakes to work. As it is now the truck has brakes with a 1 second delay for reverse, however the brakes are really soft. I can't seam to find where it states in the manual how to adjust the brakes in the speedo. I'm sure there is some combination of the buttons to do this but i can't make heads or tails of it. Also, it seams that the truck should have some more power. Its a 9.5 turn motor and its just not that impressive power wise. This is most likely another adjustment in the rs pro, but if someone can help me get into the programing mode i'm sure I can figure that out. Stuff has come a long way; last truck I had was a T2 with a Novak cyclone and 1700 matched cells! I got almost 30 min of run time on the first run of this truck!
Thanks for the help!

In my experience bad brakes always happend when I geared something really high. try lower gearing and see if that helps. I know thats kinda vague since I dont know what you are running or what gearing.

I am running 16/87 gear. I chose that just because that was the pinion that I had on hand. I have an 18t pinion here also that I can try. I tried to use the other spur (75 I think? don't have it right here in front of me) and it would not work with pinions I had (the holes didn't line up). From half throttle the truck takes 10 to 12 feet to stop. It will not lock up the rear tires either.
Thanks!

9.5 motor is pretty mild, it's not going to set the world on fire, especially in an SC10. You can get more punch out of the motor using the Tekin Hotwire, advance timing on the ESC.

You can adjust the brakes on the ESC, I can't remember the mode number, check your instructions. Braking goes up to 13, and is really weak low number straight out of the box, but braking is fierce at 13.

You should be fine once you are familiar with the on board system. It is an awesome ESC, congrats.

Check out the EP Off Road section, you will get good tips HERE.

I believe there's a free-wheel mode of some type on that speedo, if that's enabled, you won't get brakes as it's specifically designed to hold some rpms when you let off. I can't remember what they call it...
