I'm asuming it's going into a nitro. If that's true, just plug your battery into the Throttle (THR) slot and and then put the bind plug into the bind slot. Put your DX3R on the model you want and then turn on the battery in your car until the light in your reciever blinks rapidly. Next, scroll down to bind on your radio and select it. It should take a few seconds then the light on you reciever will shut off then come back on solid. You should now be ready to go! You can now take the bind plug out and reconnect your battery to the bat/bind slot and reconnect your servos.

If you have any more ?'s, you can post or pm me.

Ps, Hope it helps!

Connect the power thru the 3rd channel port that way you can set your throttle and steering failsafe points

You can set your failsafe points regardless of where you plug the power during the bind process. There's nothing special about the 3rd channel port.

I talked to Spectrum once and the guy said it didn't matter what slot you plugged into for battery, throttle, steering and such.

Its just nice to put them where they are marked so one knows each time.

THe steering servo has to be plugged into the steering slot, and the throttle servo or speed control has to be plugged into the throttle slot. The system won't work any other way.

For binding, the bind plug must go in the bind/batt slot, and the battery can go into any of the other ports..
