Default want to upgrade controller

I want to upgrade the controller for my slayer to 2.4. I have a controller and reciever from a losi slider 1/10th sprint car, will it work in the slayer? If I buy a new controller and reciever for the slayer, do they come in a kit or can they be had seperatley, and if so, what does it take to make the two communicate, will they just plug in and work?

The Losi radio would work, but you wouldn't be able to shift it into reverse because the Losi radio is only 2-channel. You need a 3-channel radio. Something like the Airtronics MX3-FHSS or the Futaba 3PM or Spektrum DX3S/R.

The radio comes with a receiver, so you replace the receiver in your Slayer with the new receiver, bind it, and then set up all the adjustments on the radio to work with your car.

The Slayer doesnt have reverse, so it would not be a big deal, what do you mean by binding the receiver?

Binding is the setup you go thru so your TX recognizes ands looks for only your receiver. Pretty simple affair, not much to it.
