is it necessary to install a capacitor for modified racing? if so, what are the specs of the capacitor needed?

Andrew Cartwright (Sponsored by Schumacher) runs a keyence in his car. He said he ran a cap on it and it blew up. They say in the instructions to not run a cap or a diode.

Yes the instruction manual says so but someone told me that he already blew 2 of it without using caps and diodes. Now he has installed a 10000uf cap and a diode and it has no problems so far.
I think I will just go without the caps and diodes. Thanks anyway, just want to get your opinions on this.

You have to hold down both arrows for 5 seconds and the impact wasn't nearly that long. The turn marshal had no clue what was wrong so I had to leave the drivers stand and reset the switch so I could continue the race. Wierd...
I've had this happen aswell, the middle button of the 3 only needs to be pushed for a split second to go into set mode and yes it is very annoying!

Does any 1 know?

Can a Keyence A-01 run with only 4 cells?
I tried it and the car glitched to where it couldn't be driven.

I run 2 of them in my 1/12th scales.

I might have a bad cell on my battery pack. I'll try it in my other car.

Hello all,

Has anyone encountered being locked out while trying to program
the initial drive and brake high points?

I have 2 extreme v 2002's 1 I just finished programming. The other one I have been having problems with. I get into the set
and the it locks me out (not letting me do the d hp and b hp.

Any suggestions would be helpful :)

I figured it out. It programmed fine about 2 hours after.

Did you get a chance to scan that set-up sheet?

how to reset keyenece zero extreme

anyone know how to reset the zero extreme back to factory defaluts for all settings? there is no mention of how to reset it in the manual. my keyence has quite a few busted led's so can only program it to work with my transmitter barely. :(

are you running stock or mod? If you are running stock then load profile P5. If you run mod then load P6. These default settings should be pretty good if you use them for those two classes. Good luck!!!

I've browsed most of the posts and was unable to find some info that I need. I just purchased a zero extreme used from someone and I would like some help in settings for various motors. I run tc 19t and 12th stock and mod. I found a 12th mod setup for the esc. Does anyone have a 12th stock and a 19t TC setup to use. Currently I have it set to what the quick reference guide says for 23t motors for the 19t TC. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim Stamper
