Default Problem with EVX-2 ESC

Hey guys I have an older E-Maxx with the stock titan motors and I made 4500mah 6 cell tenergy batteries. I was using the original esc until it got wet and overheated the batteries. I then installed a new EVX-2 esc using a new set of the same batteries but now the truck seems much slower. I know the EVX-2 is designed for the newer e-maxx and the E-Revo with higher voltage. Could this esc not be compatible with my truck??

Try a diff set of batts - I've had some tenergys and they are poor. Since you've just made these pacs, test them on another Emaxx or use a diff set of batts in this Emaxx.

My tenergy 7 cell pacs were nearly worthless and were a waste of money.

I will try to program the radio. Thanks for that tip. As far as the batteries they all came from the same batch and so far I have been happy with them. I used a bunch to re-build my dewalt battery packs also. I will try swapping the batteries if after I program the radio I still have issues. Thanks!!

Well I have to thank you for the advise!!!! I programed the ESC as per instructions and WOW what a difference!!! The truck rips wheelies while rolling on the pavement and on wet grass!!! As far as the TEnergy batteries I know I am new to the hobby but for the price of these batteries I have no complaints!! THANKS GUYS!!
