Default Tekin rs esc

Does the Tekin rs ESC need a heat sink and cooling fan. I am new to the hobby and notice that the Novak GTB esc and the LRP sphere tc esc both come with these. I just want to know if I have to purchase a heat sink and fan if I get the Tekin. Thanks

No. The RS and the RS pro do not need heat sinks or fans, just make sure you install the supplied capacitor.

nope, no heatsink nesicary, and there isn't much room to mount one on there ether.

it doesnt need one because only escs that are "of a lesser quality" have to use a heatsink

You may consider adding a second capacitor if you plan to use a motor less than 5 turns. That isn't a big deal since the caps are so small compared to the orange kind. Also it is recommended that you place the speedo so that the solder posts are in the air flow if you use a 3 turn or less.

Of course this is with regard to the Pro. The regular RS isn't rated for less than a 5 turn.

no need for them.....and FYI the RS and RS Pro speedos are the best speedos i have ever used.....i have had them all....nothing like the ease of tuning and the support from Tekin....there small....they offer infinite mounting ability....i just love them....sold every sppedo i own and switched all of my cars to Tekin RS.....

I think that they do not use heat sink and fan because they have the lowest (On-Resistance) in the market..

Bingo. We have a winner! That also translates into more punch and run time...If every lap counts, then its got to be a Tekin.
