Default LRP BL Motor Question...

Just want to verify what I just bought if its functioning normally.
I just bought an LRP Vector motor 4.5turns. I have Novak brushless
motors also, now why is it that when I turn the LRP rotor, it's tighter or
harder than my Novak 10.5T? Is this normal? The 4.5T feels like a
brushed motor. It's not as free turning like my Novak 10.5 motors.
Is the magnet stronger or something?

Thanks.

Ok thanks. Are all LRP BL motors like this? Hard to turn?
How about Novak's 4.5R, does the rotor turn easily vs LRP's 4.5?

For modified motors (blue can), not sure about the stock motors (red can). If you look at the box or manual that came with your motor you will notice that the motor with lower turns uses sintered rotor while the motor with more turns uses bonded rotor.

I have a modified LRP 13.5T BL motor that comes with bonded rotor. I bought it brand new factory sealed combo with LRP Sphere TC. The rotor rotates smoothly, but when I upgraded to larger diameter sintered rotor the motor turns like some restrictions when you rotate it. But now my motor runs cooler than before and I can use bigger pinions/ smaller spur gears on my car.

Ah ok. So if it's bonded rotor, it will rotate easily and with sintered, rotation
will be harder.

Thanks for your reply.
