Will I still have about an hour to charge a 14.8v 4s battery at 5A? As this is just a 50w charger......

14.8V*5A = 74W

Sadly, no.

Yes it will, probably at around 3A.

Might check the Accucel-8 (150W)

This is what HC sells to do that - the harness plugs into the side of the charger and then tise adapter board. I bought the other 3 types of balance conns with my Accucel-6 so I;d have them all.

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=7350

This is shown near the bottom of the page where the charger is shown by itself on HC.

Why did you buy so many adapters. Do you have many different types of batteries? Or do you like to be prepared?

Yeah, I'm prob just going to order the specific adapter on eBay so I don't have to wait 10-14 days.....otherwise I'd hobbyking

I have that many diff lipos.....Neuenergys, Flightpowers, Integy, Align (heli), Nexxus, Vampower, DualSky and others. I get some in trades or buying used rcs and since lipos are good, I use them.

Got tired of not being able to balance them, so just bought them all. I've used all of them except the Kokam one.

Good, hate to pay int'l S&H for something costs less than the S&H.... Since these are iMaxx, there should be other places you can buy them. Anyway, that eBay adapter will work.

I see this being discussed so I assume I can't do it. I have a hyperion lipo battery and I want to balance the battery on the Accucel 6. There is a 5 prong input on the Accucel 6, but I am assuming that is not for balancing hyperion batteries which is why you are buying adapters?

I noticed the hyperion battery wouldn't fit due to the clip on the balance plug anyway. Only way to make it work would be to cut the clip.

I would just get the adapter to be safe. JMO

The Accucel-6 takes JST-XH (also called Align) type balance connection. Hyperion uses something different, it wouldn't work and you risk shorting something in the charger putting voltage where its not expected.

Just get the proper Hyperion type balance adapter. Look on the page where HC lists the Accucel-6 down toward the bottom, they list the adapters. Plus as y2kgtp has found, you can get adapters on eBay as well.

Another advantage is that you get more reach into a LiPo charging sack when your at the track.....some balance tabs you get like 2" off the pack and have to almost put the charger in the sack as well.....
