The 744 rx that comes with the m11x, is it compatable with non-digital servos?

technazi 11-10-2010 04:33 PM

Yes, you just run it in NOR mode and it's fine.

Just got rid of my Mars UR, after a long stint with KO radio gear, and various models I've decided its time for a change.

I now have an M11X on its way :D Can't wait for it to arrive.

my throttle is analog and my steering is digital... would it still work in NOR mode?

in my previous 3PM...i have to set my failsafe everytime i turn on the tx when using analog servo (in PPM mode)... is it the same with m11x? i'm choosing between the 4pk and the m11x...

On the M11X, you can specify which channel you want to run in NOR mode and which one you want to run in SHR mode. If you want fast response, run your digital servos in SHR mode. However, if you're comfortable with the way your digital servos respond in the NOR mode then I wouldn't worry about it. Digital servos will work in either SHR or NOR mode just fine. Analog servos, however, should be run in NOR mode as they can't usually process the faster frame rate of the SHR mode.

Will someone please explain to me in great detail- how to set the SHR mode to Active.

Hi I've been setting up my M11x as of late- and I'm running the Associated 1015 Digital Servo and Momba Max Pro ESC in my Hyper 9E. I would like to set the Radio to SHR mode but have not been able to locate where this function/option/setting- is. Can someone please explain to me in great detail- where to locate this option/setting. I would very much appreciate it. Does the setting say SHR, and which menu is it in? Thank you in advance.

PS. Is it possible to set the Throttle/Brake chanel to SHR on the M11x Radio ? and if so, will this SHR setting speed up the Throttle/Brake Radio to Receiver Response Time?

Setting SHR Mode On Page 47 And 48 In The Airtronics Owners Manual.

I found the instructions on how to activate the SHR mode. I'm using the Associated Digital Servo(DS) 1015 and the M11x says "Display mode only"! when I push the + or - button which is said to activate the SHR mode.

Does anyone know what would permit the SHR setting to be activated at this point in time?

MindThoughts 11-12-2010 01:53 AM

Display Mode Only = How To Activate The SHR Mode = Turn Off Your Radio.

That was unexpected. In order to activate the SHR mode I'm required to turn off the M11x, and then proceed to slide the Display mode switch over to the right and hold it there for apx one second. This keeps the radio in Off mode yet allows settings to be changed. It is in this Off Yet On State which permit the SHR setting to be activated.

Next Question:
Does anyone know if setting the Throttle chanel to SHR will speed up the response time of the ESC to Throttle and Brake commands? I'm running the Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro ESC.

If anyone has any insight into this questions- Please explain in great detail- what you know and understand. I will also call Airtronics customer service to discover what they know and understand. Thank you in advance :)

The 'Display Mode Only" indicate that particular function can only be set in Display Mode Only.

To get to Display Mode, turn off your TX via the slide switch on the side then turn on the Display via the Display slide switch on the lower left of the screen, wahla! You are in "Display Mode"! Note the Blue LED is off indicate that you are NOT transmitting...

In a nutshell, certain settings CANNOT be change while you are transmitting and have to be set in Display Mode...

Hope you understand...

M11x SHR Mode Activation.

Yes, I understand. Thank you very much for this information. Do you know if setting the Throttle to SHR mode will allow a faster response time? I mean, faster than the Normal mode. I'm using the Mamba Max Pro ESC and do not know if switching the Throttle to SHR(on the M11x) will make any difference in how quickly the ESC responds to the actions/signals from the Throttle and Brake of the Transmitter.

SHR mode has faster frame rate for digital servo, not too sure on it affects on electronic ESC though... IIRC, there were a few users that experienced glitch with their ESC and a few might have fried theirs as well.

Try to search this thread, all else fail, better contact Airtronics for confirmation.

SRH Mode With ESC. Possible Or Destructive?

I very much appreciate your very quick reply.

Looking at some pics of the 1/8th buggy worlds and the M11 seem to be by far the most popular radio! Anyone know why that is? Is there some clear advantage they have or do Airtronics offer more deals to drivers?
