these ezrun esc are they sensored or sensoless?
|
Sensorless. You can run a sensored motor though, just set the sensor wires aside.
|
so this esc is something like the gtb i assume??
but can the gtb run sensorless motor since this esc can run both sensored and sensorless motor. and for the price its a bargain |
Wow not sure how I came across this thread but I have some questions. Can I run 3300NiMh? If so looking for suggestions on what to get. I current dont run anything under 15t brushed motors. I have a Stampede and a T4. I would want the pede to wheelie pretty easy and hold it from a standstill but rolling wheelies and all I would be ok if that was minimal. With the T4 performance a little faster than my current 15t would prob be enough. Would I be able to go with the 35amp esc with either of these? What motor would you suggest? Thanks for any info.

Where can you buy the Xeruns? I can't find them anywhere...
Also, is it possible to update the firmware on these things in case I end up with a version that's not "2.0?" |
You can buy them direct from Hong Kong from some of the hobby places out there. You can buy the "branded" versions here in the states under the "Speed Passion" label.
I know that Banzai Motors is selling them... Jerome :tire::tire: |

I'm a little confused with some of the names that are tagged onto what seems like the same product. What is the relationship between: 1) Hobbywing 2) Tekmodel 3) Speed Passion ? Seems like the name Tekmodel is synonymous with Hobbywing, but even the Hobbywing ESC has the name "Tekmodel" on the aluminum extrusion. What about Speed Passions? Are the Speed Passions just a rebadge of the Hobbywing/Tekmodel? |

That's where I'm having trouble. All the Hong Kong sites I've visited seems to only carry up to the Ezrun series, 60A. I do see many of the Xerun series of motor. At first, I though Ezrun was the name of the series for the ESC and Xerun of the motor, but I've checked Hobbywing's homepage, indeed, the 120A version is the called the "Xerun"

Some of the Ezruns seemed like a good deal, but that Venom 120A (rebadged Hobbywing Xerun right?) was getting into the price range of Tekins and Novaks!
At that price, I think I'm going to stick with Mamba Max... Thanks for all the help guys! |
so the ezrun 60amp esc is not good enuf for off road setup?
or is it more than enough? |
