JUST STOCK ESC LOW SPEED TO HIGH SPEED PROBLEM

I HAVE 2 JUST STOCK ESC'S AND 2 HOBBYWING SENSORLESS 17.5 IN MY SC10.
My problem is both setups roll like you barely give it throttle till they reach a certain speed then just seem to go full throttle. I've ruled out servo's,radio, rec and gear ratio. I've changed the punch from 1-9 with no change.

Did you set your neutral, wide open and wide open reverse? If not hold the set button and turn on esc. Should blink leave remote alone press set button again. Then will beep. Hold trigger wide open and press button again. Then do the same for reverse. Should fix your problem.

YES
I've been in the hobby for almost 30 years just not sure if there defective or maybe need a firmware update,,,I got in a wreck during a heat race at the bottom of a jump and it didn't have the power to clime up it but as soon as they roll about 15 foot there fine as long as you don't slow way down

Hobbywing XeRUN ECS is the way to go

Not true. They are the same just diff. colors. Xeruns are all sensored or sensorless. The ez runs are all sensorless.

Latemodel13 is true, I can feel huge differences between sensored & sensoredless. I will recommend Xerun 150A ESC. The color Blue or Black? it is up to your taste. No performance in differences.

Found Xerun 150A

any word on when the 150a's will be back in stock at hobbypartz or anywhere else?

I found Xerun 150A, Check out Falconsekido site, type 150a
It is cheaper than Hobbypartz. they seems to be the US rep of Hobbywing.

Wow...totally opposite experience than I had...first time I emailed I got a response within 2 days which was not bad...2nd time, no response, 3rd time, no response...
Hobbywings Canadian rep didnt bother responding at all...

CRC was the only one to respond and thus they got my business...

Pity hobbywing dont seem to want to go full on with selling to amain or the local hobbyshops

Hi All,

Using a Castle Mamba Max Pro at the moment, paired with a Tenshock SC411 sensored brushless motor.

I was wondering if the HobbyWing 120A SC supports a "smart start" mode similar to the MMP where it starts at low speed in sensored mode, then moves to a sensorless mode for high speeds?

Thanks!

A litte late... but it could be that you are having a sensor problem and the ESC are in sensorless mode. The Xerun series ESC:s do work sensorless but much worse than the Ezrun wich are sensorless only by design.
A sensor problem is usually indicated by a blinking yellow light in neutral i think.
Hope you have solved it already!

Sorry if this has been asked but I have an Xerun 120A ESC that I want to run with an 8.5T Xerun motor do I need to have the fan on it as I am going to run this in my TLR 22 and with the fan on I have clearance issue with the body and the fan

No fan needed...i've been running mine for the past year and half without issue. I run a fan on my 4wd running 6.5T motors.

I'm kinda curious about this as well?

Thought I would post this up in case it helps someone one day (if they do a "search" :ha:)

After 9 months of faithful service, my GT3B reciever (paired with a Mamba Max Pro (MMP) ESC, Tenshock SC411 motor, Hitech 7955TG servo, and a Novak Glitch Buster Capacitor) gave me a problem.

From the onset, I needed to install the glitch buster capacitor because even at standstill there was a lot of glitching. Once that was in, no problems for 9 months.

Then yesteday it was glitching a lot, and I could get this to happen simply by turning the steering with my hand at standstill, thus loading up the servo, and it would then glitch the whole system - steering, and motor.

After 2 hours of thinking it might be the ESC and thinking I might need to get a new ESC or a BEC, I finally gave in and chucked in my spare receiver ($8!) as a last ditch attempt. Everything stopped glitching and all was well with the universe again.

Moral of the story: If you're getting some glitching - there may be differences even within the receiver rather than a BEC.

I know exactly what you mean. my truck has almost the same setup with a glitch buster and the truck drives itself at certain times. Got rid of my mmp and got the hobbywing 150 amp and it's still doing the same thing. I think I got a bad reciever. It was a brand new one too. Going to spend another $20 on recievers to get my truck running like it should. Really pondering whether to get a futaba 4pl and never have problems again. p.s. my other brand new reciever in my pede 4x4 worked great and had no problems.

I've had this issue using other systems. Every month or so take your reciever apart and get the dirt out. Works for me....stops the glitching

Anyone having problems downloading the new v3.1 usb softwear from hobbywings site? It says corrupt file for me, and a buddy of mine is also having the same problem.
