or is it more than enough?

I have sent my 60A to get fixed by GriffinRU (Same guy who started the Mamba Max MOD and the R1Pro MOD) and he is very impreesed by the 60A ESC. With his MOD he said they can handle 100A with no problem. The problem I had with the 60A was my mistake. I was using a Mega ACn16/15/1 (6 pole 9200Kv) and being a 6 pole motor it like higher timing, but I made a mistake and changed the timing and the ESC burned a FET (Which btw is the same as the Monster Max).

Guys

I picked up a $60 35A 4300krpm/v ez-run combo and dropped it in my XXX. I think I can reasonably say this thing is impressive. Barring the occasional weird thing when braking, I would be completely unable to tell you under a blind test whether this thing is a $60 sensorless combo or a $200 sensored one... I let another guy at my track drive it and he also was in awe... especially when i told him I much i paid for it. That was yesterday (2 packs) and again today (2 more). Power is here (car wheelies...), it's "progressive" (as much as a brushless can be...), it was barely warmish to the touch after a 10mn+run (on lipos)...

If this thing holds the test of time (only 4 packs through it so far), this might be the greatest thing to happen to the hobby since the delta peak charger (and that was a while ago).

I have the two Venom systems - one in a 10.5 tourer and one in a 6.5 4wd buggy and they work brilliantly well. The programming box is dead simple to use and gives you way more tweaking options than you would ever get from a Novak or LRP. In fact I sold all my Novak and LRP systems and managed to pocket the difference!

Lutach, you have given some great info here - thanks! I would like to give these EZ-run ESCs a try. Can you confirm whether the programming box from the XE-run is identical and can be used in the EZ-run? I would like to buy a EZ-run ESC only (not combo), as I have spare motors I can use.

Yes, the program box is identical.

Thanks mate. Will the 35A controller handle a 10.5 or 13.5 SP 540-sized motor?

ghj1997 10-04-2008 10:59 AM

ezrun

ok guys need a couple of things answered. I found the 60amp version but all the motors that come with them 13 turn or lower. I race a sportsman class where you are only allowed a 19t or 10.5 brushless. Could I buy just the esc and then add a novak or another brand motor. Also will this esc work well in a xxxt with nimh batteries.

ezrun

would the 35amp version also be good for 1/10 truck xxxt.

i have an ezrun 35a,and i have a couple of questions.what are its realistic limits?4wd offroad?2wd offroad?with regards to motor size and kv rating?i am trying to finish up a brushless conversion on a crt.5.i am using a fiegao 10s motor, with either 2 cell lipo or most likely three cell.the motor is rated around 3500 kv.the 10s is a 540 sized motor.supposing this combo is too much, what would the esc do,burn out or shut down?

so far a friend is running one in a slash,i think the 10t or 9t combo.its pretty fast and has survived one race so far.i have ordered the 13t to try on my slash.i hope at least a couple of my questions can get answered.this looks to be a promising product.

YES. Very quick.
Unless you are a good-very good driver it could cost you a lot in car damage.

Hi,

I was hesitating between a speed passion 1.1 GT and a Venom 120A + 6.5T motor.

Just want to be sure that's a good choice for onroad "playing" on my local rc club, I'm not into racing, just want a good ESC and good motor to play with. I also have a LRP 9.5 Stock motor.

I want also to do some drifting.

I will power it with 2S IP3800 35C lipos on a XRAY T2 009 - 1/10'.

What pinion should I use or start with ? Is it a good ESC/Motor choice (200$ shipped on ebay) ?

because speed passion esc only is 170$ not shipped... getting the venom would save me money!

Many thanks,

Cédric

I'm searching for a XeRun 2.0 instead the ZeRun

Any clue where I could get it ? The only thing close is the Venom 120A
