Default Strange Speedo Issue

startin in main last wk and again thru mtg this wk, i've run into a strange problem with my stock class m18. here is its configuration.

m8-spektrum
3500 Rx
hitec servo
GM SX3 esc
180 mini mauler motor on 6cell 700mah batteries.

here is my issue, i get a drop in the throttle as i pull the trigger back, causin a 'bucking' or 'spiking' feel. thought i was hits til i slowly pulled throttle back lookin for a driveshaft vibration. it would ramp up til about 2/3rds throttle, then drop down and stay, til i pulled further when it recovered on the way to WOT. if i would start lettin off the trigger from the dead spot, the speed would spike up. over and over if i went back and forth.

the stranger part is that if i do a simple reset on the controller (neutral--gas--brake). its gone. it lasts bout 2 packs, then its back, simple reset, gone again. i tried 3 different maulers wonderin if i had winding issues. not the case. but a reset takes it away.

in 20yrs, i havent seen anythin like this, thoughts?
