Default Do I need Spektrum for bashing?

Do I need Spektrum for bashing? I'm thinking about selling my Hitec SRX and Spektrum Pro once I get my T4. I was thinking about getting a Futaba 3PM. Had anyone had any glitching problems with that radio? I'm asking about glitching because I want to get a MM system and I don't want a runaway. Any input? Thanks for the help.

I personally use spektrum and I refuse to use anything else, but for bashing? I would save yourself some money and just pick up a second freq first and see if that helps

Maybe i'll pick up a Futaba 3pm, try it for a pack, then switch over to the spektrum and run that for a pack, and then pick which one I like better, then sell the other.

I have a 3pm fasst. I love it. I recommend it wether bashing or racing. I think that is it worth the money. It is quite comfortable in my hands as well. I did have another radio but got tired of the interference and the issues. You should really give the 3pm a try.

for bashing, even a good AM radio works fine.... spektrum at bashing level is more for the looks or if you don't like to make a hole in the body for the aerial

main reason to go to 2.4Ghz is to eliminate crystal changes on your TX and Rx so as not to interfere with somebody else's band, which quite often happens in a race track with a lot of other guys running with you.
as for glitches, i believe no system is perfect either so from time to time, it may or may not hit you, though 2.4ghz system are much more noise immune that AM and FM systems.
for bashing, where you bash with just a couple of buddies, i believe an FM synthesized system (FM) is already enough, a good option that's not too heavy on the pocket.
