Any idea on a release date for the R1?

Are there any other motors the R1 will run? Since the motors are not quite ready yet, is there another brushless motor that will work?

More importantly, will the R1 be able to run sensored brushless ok?? - specifically the orange 13.5, it's what we're using for stock at my track... the track is big-ass nitro, so don't need to much low speed performance

That's great man!

I'm so excited, this week has started great! Not only is the R1 series looking spectacular, but the B1 and Fx series look great too! I can't wait for the releases, everyone that has been patient and waiting will be glad they did, for sure.

Capelracer and silence360,

We are striving for top performance with both sensorless and sensored motors. The sensorless motors are running perfect, very fast and very smooth. Sensored are running pretty good too, just the low end that's giving a little trouble with a few little stutters every now and then, but nothing preventing the unit from driving the motor. It'll be worth the wait of getting sensored tuned, promise!

I heard Christmas 2006.

Rumour is that Tekin are trying really hard to beat the LRP QC3 to the market

I saw the r1 advertised on a hong kong website, for just over $200. The site states that the esc is expected to be in the store on the 12 of May. Can anyone in the know confirm wether or not this is an official release date, or just a scam to get us to pre-order.

It will do, yes, it might need a firmware update (which will be available for download) at a later date, it does drive them noww, just not as good as Tekin would like, which is one of the reasons for delay.
