Sorry if I'm telling anyone to suck eggs here, but are you measuring voltage across here when it's not plugged into the receiver?

Unplug the servo from the receiver. When you power up the ESC, does the motor fan run? If you have a space receiver plug/wire, plug it into a spare port and repeat, but now measure the voltage across the open ends of the wire you just plugged in. One possibility is that the BEC cannot supply any power under load. Also try unplugging everything except the ESC from the receiver to get it to bind.

One of the receivers that I tried is now wired into the car with the spec esc , I checked voltage where you edited and on the forks inside the RX with just the esc plugged in , no fan and no servo .

Now I have voltage on the prongs inside the RX ,?servo leads , but no light !? WTH, bad rx’s ? But that don’t explain the 1 up fh5 working with the spec esc and not the rs pro’s.

or the 482 that I pulled from another car that works , tried it with the two rs pro’s , nothing , put it back in the original car , it works .

If you put the bind plug in, does the receiver LED flash?

The 493 receiver lights won't come on unless it's bound to the radio or in bind mode.

And this is with a known good receiver that works with another ESC, and it's receiving the voltage as verified by a multimeter?

yes . Once I get the x4’26 built , I’m gonna give all those electronics another shot . Maybe I’ll just have to buy new recievers , or buy a new one first and wire everything up again .

the 482 yes , it’s in another car , those 3 493’s I got off of here , the guy says they worked , he was selling 6 of them , I bought 3 .

Well, if the receiver is known good and is getting power, it should power on. It sounds like you're trying to test too much and not eliminating variables properly. If you plug a fan into the receiver, during the test, does the fan spin?

Bind / rebind the rx. Sanwas do not have any lights on until they are bound. F4's don't. My radio can't use F5 rx's so maybe those are different.

The LED on the receiver should flash if the bind plug is installed:
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...72ad6f1223.png
(from the RX493 manual)

Regardless of anything else, if the bind plug is installed and the ESC powered up, it should blink, unless:
  • The ESC is not providing enough power (although, tbh, it should be in the range of milliamps at 6V)
  • The servo lead is faulty/mis-wired
  • The receiver is broken
  • The bind plug is broken
The receiver plays zero part in sharing power across the +/- pins. The description that the motor fan doesn't power up when the ESC is turned on suggests the BEC is faulty or the wiring is dodgy. (with the very unlikely scenario that the receiver is shorting the power, but I'm confident there would be visible/olfactory evidence of that).

So , I wired up the x4’26 with same motor and esc , new 492i receiver and all is good . I’m guessing those 3 493’s I bought are bad .

But you said you had the same problem with the 1up receiver that you know works with a different ESC. I wouldn't assume all 3 receivers are bad.

The electronics within the receiver are working on 3.3v. To get there a voltage regulator is used. If you are lucky then only that part is blown and cout that 80 dollar receiver be saved with a 2 dollar part. You only need to know some electronics or someone who knows.
