It charges at a higher rate longer before dropping back to finish balance charging.

To expand on what dway100 said, setting this at 100mV means the charger will perform the fast charge function until the battery is at .1 volt less than your target finish voltage. When set to 10mV, the charger will perform the fast charge function until .01 volt before the target finish voltage.

I've got all the sound settings to "Off" and it still has that annoyingly loud buzzer when the cycle is finished. But yes, every other sound can be shut off with the 3 sound control in the Settings.

In case anybody is interested, I updated the firmware from 3.01 to 3.05 and the annoying buzzer sound is gone. Zero sounds from the charger now, just the way I like it.

Only minor issue with the upgrade was it wiped out all the settings and stored charge profiles. Pretty easy to correct as I didn't have a bunch of profiles saved, so not a big deal for me. YMMV.

If I understand, you are referring to the constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) parts of the balance charging process. Every charger that I have, or had, always started the constant voltage balancing when one cell reached the set end voltage.
Why would a person want to alter a lower voltage threshold when the balancing (constant voltage) begins?

Face it, if the balancer is taking a lot of charging time then most of the time there it is just a bad cell. Maybe bad ir an overrated expression, but call it a less better cell.

Full day of racing 12th scale (1S) packs and I didn’t have to recharge my 6K 6S battery like I did when running 2S sedan. I think I sold another two more today. Perfect charger for the price fir this every other week racer.

Do you suggest using a 6S over a power supply? Does discharging fill the 6s enough? Thx.

you dont have the full range of discharging using just the power supply. The 6S battery allows up to 30amp discharge.

To speed up the charging process. With 1s batteries it's a bit of a moot point as the cells are wired in parallel and naturally self-balance.

I purchase M8D charger, connected to my power supply and the charger is not booting up not turn on. Good start, any idea please ? I am going to send it bacl to the shop

Probably a defective unit if it doesnt turn on when using DC power. Return it for a new unit.

I really really enjoy the toolkit brand chargers. I just wish more brands did this.

iCharger is over priced

To be fair, iChargers do have more features and function. The ability to discharge into another channel or able to hook up resister bank is one that lots of people look for thus the price.

Also, when Toolkitrc start making a name for themselves and more and more people buy them, and professional racers are sponsorded or seen using them, I can assure you their prices will start to go up as well.

Removed my friends Icharger and hooked up the Toolkit. Discharged and charged without any issues.
