Tried to use the " battery destroy"feature tonight on a protek lcg 2s 4800mah. That I didn't need anymore, and to see how the feature worked. Seemed to work until the balance port notice "voltage to low", and would not discharge to the .05v per cell set by the software. I believe it stopped around 3.05v. Intuative thoughts are appreciated. Thanx

Will this function work without the balance port plugged in?

Hate to say it, but based on the rest of the functionality, this sounds like par for the course with this charger. It needs a massive firmware update to make me want to take mine off the shelf and back out of the box.

Yes I tried without balancing after thinking about it . It discharged another 127mah. It then was warm and noticeably swollen! Still had 3v still in it. If you wanted to destroy a lipo wouldn't you just discharge in nimh mode till it has zero volts?

Thinking of getting one soon! But my friend who has one did notice that he can't see the IR of the 1S packs that he charges with. He is using a 6S 6000 mah battery to charge and discharge into (recyle mode). Do any of you have the reason why he can't see his IR for is 1S batteries?

Don't buy this charger, I have had no issues with any other toolkit chargers but they released this one half cooked and left a bunch of us stranded with chargers that can't be used.
Grab a m6d if you don't mind shower rates or dx6 if you need faster

I don’t think he is, he said he’s using the same charge connector as he was for his charger dx6. I’ll talk to him today.

try connecting the balance port as well. Most of the time the charge port only supply power and rough voltage reading, the balance port does the more "accurate" measurements and readings.

agreed, i have on that will charge left side or right side....but it shuts down if you try both together....customer service is a joke

I wish I saw this thread before I bought mine.... My friend had gotten the charger a few months ago and he loves his. My gens ace dual just died a week over a year of having it. So I went with this. My touch screen doesn't work with touch most of the time, the info scren flashing open and close rapidly randomly, diagonal line screen tearing when scrolling through the menu. The balancing part at the end takes over an hour (over 78 mins to balance a team eam 5800mah that was charged at 10amp, repeated with my tekin 5900). I'm hoping to get a refund but chances are I'm S.O.L

what software is installed? If i may ask...

I asked the facebook page via private message when the firmware 3.08 will be released and the message was ignored... I wonder when they intend to do things seriously with this charger...
