FlySky vs everybody else

I moved from a gt3 (dont laugh) to a noble nb4. The response time is so much faster and like you, at first it was good enough but after I got better it was too slow on CERTAIN sections or track layouts. Before the track had a jump, then sharp 90 turn, straightaway, then wide banked turn. With a slow transmitter it was manageable and not as noticeable. Next's week track layout was reversed so that section was now wide banked turn, straightaway, sharp 90 turn, then jump. After building a pace, I learned I had to either slow down before that 90 turn due to more speed from the banked turn or anticipate the turn by a half second. As the track got bumpy, or I pushed my luck, my timing would be off and I either smacked into the wall or clipped the corner. More often then not, I either hit the wall before the turn, or hit the wall during the jump. Either way lead to parts breaking. I bought a noble nb4 and wow the response was so much faster.
Did this make me a better driver? Yes and no. Instead of guessing when my buggy would turn, I had the confidence to know when my buggy would turn. Bumps are still there but I could either cut the throttle more or turn more to compensate. Either way I had way less crashes into the wall. I definitely feel more connected and input more instant.
Pros:

Pros:
- Fast transmitter response
- Nice touch features with detailed screen. Some exponential settings have a graph for easy mapping.
- 180 degree rotatable steering (I set mine to 45)
- Multiple model memory
- Antenna-less receiver is TINY! less range but its a racer not going far
- Built-in battery AND backup battery to recharge receiver or use both as a super battery. You never need batteries again or have to worry about running out of battery. (if you have a phone that's constantly at low battery, nothing can help
) - IMO it has a good feel
- Adjustable trigger springs. I probably will never change it but nice its included (especially at the price)
- Makes a sound telling you when receiver disconnects or connects. (can turn this off or adjust volume)
- Kinda pricey. No going around this simple fact. At over $200, maybe buying more racing rc cars to take the sting out of it

- screen is hard to see in direct daylight
- Takes a couple seconds to turn on. Not a huge deal

I don't know about that, years ago Hitec signed Adam Drake to rock their Lynx 4S radio and while he performed very well with it, it didn't seem to do much for Hitec. If I recall correctly, the next season after, AD went with Futaba and I don't think it had anything to do with the Lynx 4S but rather business.
in any event, if this move pushes Flysky to produce an even better radio than the Pro (along with their seemingly commitment to updates) then I'd welcome a more expensive radio because so far, Flysky has been doing it well. Who would've thought this would happen just 8yrs ago.
When it comes to price, I'm at a point in my life that I can swing it but RC life has shown me that an RC radio is the area people choose to cheap out the most even though it's the ONE tool you MUST have in your hands in order to enjoy this hobby. It's in the damn hobby name! Remote control, yet people chirp even about a $70 radios. I read people complaining about the price of the $180 NB4 as is on FB groups.
