Only thing that has me second guessing the buy is that it doesn't use a percentage to control the steering speed, it goes in increments down to the hundredth of millisecond which is very confusing to me... I realize that this increases precision for the tuning option but adds frustration as I prefer to stick with the industry standard using percentages instead. Does anyone know if the Pro can be flashed backwards to the NB4 firmware which uses percentages?

This is the only potential deal breaker for me before I pull the trigger... pun intended, ha!

Yep I got 2 old 1s and love them my buddy got 1 and we ran into the steering issues... so glad I got a older version but then my car moved a little in Neutral waiting for the tone to go off. I cleaned the potentiometer. But 3 weeks later, it came back. So I went back to my m12s plus the older version the new rx won't bind to them I got 8 off ebay only 2 work with it

I have back to back my m12s with just the nb4 on carpet and offroad the NB4 is super comfortable and smooth but had issues after 2 yrs The potentiometer is acting up it will move waiting for the tone to go off ... so I went back to my m12s and I'm going to stay with it ... I feel now it's easier to put the car on those tight lines on the track
Did u find any 1 to do back to back with the pro

Flyksy is as far as i now the only company where you not only have to flash the transmitter, but also have to upgrade the reciver sometimes, maybe this was the issue with yours.

A friend testet his M12 back to back with the Pro, way more precise and he was way more consistent with the Pro

I don't like the v2 nb4 but the 1 is good I can oder the part but I have a m12s so I'm not going spend the money. My son loves it and it's super easy for him to navigate over his m12 but he still has a hard time picking 1 over the other and he a lefty

Also interesting that Ryan Maifield elected to use one for the WC. As a pro driver, he MUST have confidence in anything he uses, so that should be a ringing endorsement, considering that it was a personal choice.

All Brands require firmware updates to the TX and RX. I have updated both my 7PX and 10PX, M17, NB4, and all My Drone and Heli Transmitter, FrSky Taranis, Radiomaster, Zorro, TX12, TX16S, FrSky Tantem X18. its just the nature of electronics. ESC, CHargers, they all get updates

So for the noble pro experts.

I recently got myself a Pro, as I’m gearing up to come back into the hobby. The kit comes with an FGR4B and an 8 channel also.

Would there be any loss in using the FGR4S v2. Using it for 1/10 touring cars

Nope, it is what most 1/10th guys use both on and off road.

Anyone have an issue where when powering on a message is displayed “Resource error, please update transmitter firmware”? I have had this radio about a week and at the first race with it yesterday this started happening. I have been searching everywhere for an answer. I was able to get through the day but it was painful.

what I have found is that removing the battery base and cycling power a few times will usually let it start up normally but when it finally starts all models are erased and it’s factory reset so I have to bind my receivers again. I got through the day by binding receivers and leaving it on after that. I did try updating the firmware and it didn’t help. I have tried both the standard and FCC versions. I have a few weeks before my next race and need to get this figured out.

I had this error on a brand new unit that I just started using tonight.

Taking the base off and powering it up seemed to work. After that I never used the base to give it power. Just turned on from the switch at the top.

Still concerned about it though.

Mine is being replaced under warranty. FlySky said it sound like a faulty usb port or communication board.

It's not just yours. I just got this radio this weekend and it's already doing this to me as well. I haven't even had the chance to bind it to a receiver yet. I'm now seriously thinking about sending it back for a full refund.

I was able to contact FlySky support via Facebook group. I talked to chris Kong and he wanted the radio sent back to them for investigation and had the dealer (helidirect) exchange it. I know 20 guys running the NB4 and they have had no issues at all. Chris Kong did say he thinks it’s an issue with the usb port on the base. I’m wondering if they have a bad batch of those pc boards that got out?

I haven’t received my replacement yet because UPS has lost the package 🤦🏻‍♂️. HeliDirect sent it right out and ups said it was out for delivery a week ago but it was never delivered and now there’s an investigation open to find it or refund my money. I ended up getting a futaba T4PM from a guy at the track to use until this is sorted out.
