Thats good to know. The review I watched said he heard it was fixed in the pro version. So you can tell a difference in response between the regular nb4 and the pro with the B receiver?
This is the review on the regular nb4 I am talking about. He talks about the issues around the 10:20 mark.

I can tell a response difference on all my receivers when I'm using 2channel/2way mode setting which is pretty much with all my cars now that I felt the difference; I can't go back. My throttle servos feel way more responsive on my nitros but of course, servo transit times matter. The radio won't make a .14 sec servo feel like a .05.

Ok, I think you sold me on this radio. Its not much more money than the Sanwa I was looking at and it comes with a case. I also like the battery pack it comes with.It will probably be overkill till I start racing but I think its worth it to spend a little more on a nice radio up front.

Waiting to see if they have a 4th of July sale. $350 that you got it for was a steal.

Banggood has a flash sale going on currently for the Noble pro so I decided to go ahead and order it. First time ordering from Banggood so hope all goes well. Returning something would suck but no local shops carry this radio.

I recently bought a cellphone (Armor 12) from Banggood and it took about 3 weeks to ship to Texas, never had any issues getting products from Banggood in a reasonable amount of time

Even when I tried to shade it with my body/hand, I could at best barely make out the details on the screen. I went indoors and turned up the background light to 100%. While it made it brighter indoors, essentially no change when I returned outdoors. Aside from that, I'm really liking this transmitter. After using their GT5 for a year, I thought the purchase of the Pro made sense.

Is it just me or is anyone else seeing this as an issue? I just read this entire thread and didn't see it mentioned.

Thanks,
Stu

most certainly can’t see even in limited sunlight ! My only complaint as well. I have both noble 4, and the pro both are impossible to see outside

Got mine Wednesday and loving it so far. I got it all setup with my electronics but still waiting on my roller. Its working great with VRC pro lol.

Fit and finish is very nice for an rc radio. Good mix of plastic and aluminum with all the silver parts appearing to be made of aluminum and the dark gray being plastic.

Phone holder works fine with my iphone and I tried the large backstrap which fit well but I did not like the contour so I went back to the small.

The screen is hard to see in the direct sunlight but I can shade it or turn it away from the sun and make out what it says. Probably my only complaint so far.

I love all the customization it has and the UI is good. The touch screen is fine for what it is but its not comparable to a modern smart phone of course. I have not setup too many of the buttons yet. I like that there is a beginner mode to reduce throttle to 50% but I wanted to see if I could use one of the 3 position switches for 100%, 75%, and 50%. Still learning all the features.

Updated my firware to the FCC version today. Has anyone else done this and noticed a difference?

I noticed zero difference when I updated mine other than the Miniz Evo board actually binding where it didn't before. I posted that a few posts back.

I have the Nobel 4 FGr4 v2 Receiver and was trying to figure out which channel to use for receiver battery and external on/off switch? it seems gas and nitro are dinosaurs and BEC is the only info i can find. :)

Roelof 08-14-2022 12:22 AM

You can use any channel for the battery. Internal all power pins are parallel connected

Has anyone ran the
the pro back to back with the nb4 and noticed a difference in response time ?

Anybody using the sensors yet? I iwould like to know if it uses the GPS sensor.

Scalian 01-18-2023 04:31 AM

I have the nb4. No problems with it and it does have a ton of functions. I wish oi had bought the pro for the case and extra mixinfg features.

All I know is that the Pro is incredibly responsive in 2channel/2way mode or 1way mode, faster than anything I've personally used but then again, I never used my Futaba in SR mode with compatible servos. Range is the same on NB4 and Pro.

I hadn't seen this post previously, but I appreciate you pointing out that you also noticed the "dead zone" in the standard Noble. It for sure exists, and anyone who actually drives it back to back with another high-end radio in a high response situation (carpet, minis) would notice, but of course the 99.9% of people who don't even attempt this will claim I must be FOS.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for providing feedback also.

I discussed this with you in the other thread, and my NON Pro version of the Noble NB4 I don't notice a dead zone at all. It was the first thing I checked when I finally received mine in the mail. I've been using it for a few months now. I own 2 M17's and a Futaba 10px, and in SRF mode the Noble pro is very very responsive. It's my primary radio now. I am very happy with the purchase, and with SRF mode I don't feel like I am missing anything as far as performance from the other 2 radios I have. I am very satisfied with the UI as well, it's soo damn user friendly. I hate the UI of the M17, this Noble pro hits all the check marks for me, and since I've upgraded it to have wireless charging it's been a fantastic radio. The Pro does look a bit more high end, but I don't feel I am missing out on anything. I am not much of a social media guy in terms of posting videos, maybe when I have time I'll post a video, but the dead zone you mentioned in your review video seems to be non existent with the one I purchased. Solid radio, and for the price I find it very hard to beat. Especially with how cheap the receivers are, I've got my whole fleet setup on the Noble Pro now.
