hi! im incredibly new to r/c. i know im a model train guy and really dont belong in the r/c world but i want to do something. im building a model railroad in my semi truck (over the road trucker) and i really dont want to have to clean the tracks and wheels so i thought about going r/c. now deadrail (as its called) has been gaining popularity over the last few years but the stuff i see isnt quite what im looking for so i thought id make my own controller and stuff. i do have this raildriver pc controller for train simulators (cuz im new here it wont let me post the pic. google it). i thought since it basically already has the commands to move a train in the virtual world is it possible to convert those digital signals into radio signals to move trains in the real world? even if i cant get the commands to transmit is it possible to still convert this thing into a radio controller? if i have to do the latter, how would i program it to do what i want? is there a specific program software that does that?

1st of all, you could have asked a mod to move your 1st topic.
But if you have such questions then probably you have no clue about interfacing and electronics. In that case just do not think about it.
The most easiest option is not to try to interface it but try to merge your train controler into the PC controler.so use the right potmeter and switches in the PC controler and connect the PCB of your train controler to them.
