Very important to set trim to 0 on radio first with servo arm removed (everything turned on).. then install servo am at 90°, then install the links and adjust part 91724 before setting any subtrim:

you are right in that sense if the issue ramains for some reason after installing the servo to the car.
The way I understand it, the issue the OP is reffering to lies one step prior...simply when mating the servo horn to the savox servo, just after powering up the servo so it can first self center and then mating the splines, so that woul be even before connecting the horn with the steering link.
Anyhow everything will be covered for future references. 😉

High subtrim values bug me a little too, but hey this is exactly what sub is for, if you have the travel you need no problem.
is forWith my radios normal trim doesn't move endpoints. Center can be adjusted freely without worrying about endpoints. Subtrim moves everything, keeps the same amount of swing to each side, etc. Set subtrim first (with normal trim at 0!), then endpoints, normal trim as needed ongoing.
