Default New RC truck problem.

Hi everyone new here, sorry if I sound like I havent for a clue (I havent)

So ive just bought a maverick phantom xt but have no steering at all. The throttle and reverse works fine but nothing at all when I try steering. Am I just missing something simple?

Thanks Lee

Its possible it could have a defective servo. Loose plugs or plugged in backwards I’ve seen before on the smaller brands.

Any settings on the controller for steering? It’s possible that could be turn down

If the transmitter has a D/R function, check it. Otherwise swap the thottle and steer connector and see if the servo reacts to the throttle movement,

Yes the transmitter has a d/r setting but I've turned both ways and still nothing.

Try switching the plugs in the receiver. The throttle will then work off the steering dial. Steering would be on the trigger. If that doesn’t work then you will know the Servo is defective

Tried swapping the plugs around, when I swap them I get no response from steering wheel or throttle, change them back and just throttle no steering 🤯

Did you plug the servo plug of the ESC into the other channel of the receiver? The ESC powers the receiver so it will need to be plugged into the receiver to be able to properly test the servo in the other channel.

Try to rebind the receiver.
