Hi guys
I just recently purchased myself a HobbyWing EZRUN Max10 SCT Combo.
I have a Futaba 2PHKA-AM 2 channel radio control system.
I have connected the cable from the ESC into channel 2 which is the throttle channel and have connected the Steering servo into channel 1 which is the steering channel.
I start the calibration process which it starts flashing red and I have my controller in neutral position to set the neutral position and as i click "set" it dosent flash green once or beep. I try do this with the throttle and breaking to calibrate but nothing works.
Any help would be appreciated.

For Futaba radios, you need to have throttle/channel 2 set to reverse before you calibrate. You'd think it would make no difference for neutral. But the fact the Hobbywing instructions call this out for Futaba radios only, there must be something important.

I have my esc cable into the channel 2 which is throttle and I have my throttle in reverse before I calibrate and already in neutral. So I have no idea what is going on

According to Google findings the Futaba receiver you mentioned is equipped with a BEC, the Hobbywing ESC also has a BEC. If you connect both you also connect both BEC together. I cannot proove, but this is maybe your cause of trouble (ESc shutdown or other crazy stuff)?

BEC (Battery Eliminating Circuit) is a power supply included in the ESC or receiver and is meant to provide power for servo and other stuff.Having a BEC you are no longer in need of a separate battery pack to power receiver and servos.
And yes, having 2 BEC maybe causes your troubles. Does the steering servo works?

the steering works. I just get no throttle response. When I go and click the set button to calibrate neutral position, throttle position and brake position it dosent flash green or beep to confirm it

For some reason the ESC is not reading a value from the transmitter that it deems appropriate for neutral.
First make sure the throttle EPA setting on the transmitter for both L and H are set to 10. Second make sure the throttle trim is centered. If I remember correctly on this transmitter, the wheel doesn't have an indicator to let you know when it's centered. You might have to turn it both ways and count the notches to figure it out. You could also temporarily connect your servo to Ch2, power it on and observe where the servo horn is (it should be centered within the travel range)
