Default 2s Lipo Battery

Hello, I have a 2s lipo that has removable leads. My question is do I only need to have this lead connected when it is charging? Reason because the battery strap covers this hole on my EB410.

Thanks

You only need it when charging, not needed when running the car.

That 2mm connector is for balancing the cells, so yes, it is needed.

However, IF you want to balance charge your lipo while in the car, you will need it ... can you just drill a hole in the battery strap where it interferes? ...

I just got a near mint maclan Lihv uses that 2mm so in a sense to save time it is best to get the charging cables as well. I can make a set, I hope the seller put it in with the battery.

Is charging in a LiPo bag not mandatory? And if not, it is safer for yourself in case something goes wrong while charging.

It's not balancing when you are running.
The only car I have ever use the balance port while running was because it had a cell alarm on it.

I would not charge the battery in the car, ever. Of all my racing since 92' the only three times I saw a lipo catch on fire at a race facility in the pits was mounted in the car. By the time all was said and done, the battery, esc, rx, servo and chassis were a complete loss. Just not worth it.
