First you buy it and then ask such a question, normally you ask such questions and wait for reactions and then decide if you want to buy it......

But let us know how it is

I would sugest to use a sensored ESC with it.

I think this guy makes motors for crawlers - You can probably ask him questions at RCCrawler. Check out Shop Holmes - RCCrawler

I hear they are nice motors. Guy that runs company is super shady though.

My friend and I both run the HH PP 540 Stubbys. He runs the 2100 and I run the 2700. Fantastic motors that have been trouble free despite hard use. When combined with a Mamba X or Mamba Micro X ESC they can be fine tuned to perfection. Highly recommended!

I've never heard of anything related to Holmes as being "shady" and I've been around people who would know if there was. Go to the forums at RCCrawler. John is a regular contributor and is extremely good at responding to questions about his products as well as offering setup advice.

A little confused on the basis of the "shady" comment as well. Regardless, John is super passionate about what he does and is a wealth of knowledge when reached out to. Holmes Hobbies products are top notch.
