I wonder what they've done to cut the price on that one.

with telemetry but the temp and rpm sensor features were taken away which is said to use with the sanwa's esc (super vortex)at this moment, i guess they just disable the function in the "ic"

Telemetry is such a sad joke. Is there any RPM or temperature that works with a 493 without a Sanwa ESC? I didn't do enough research on the telemetry part it's still a sore spot.

That is tempting.

M11X and M12S

So , I have and like the older Sanwa radios , what receiver would be best for both ? The 481 or the 482 ?
Also , the lipo battery fail safe issue with these , I shouldn’t have to worry about that as you can program your lipo cutoff in your esc , correct ?
The m11x I haven’t used in years and just picked up the m12s , thus the reason for the questions, I’ve been using a different remote for my off-road stuff and would like to use one of the 2 sanwas for my onroad cars . Thnx in advance .

I don't know of any non-genuine Sanwa compatible receivers labeled as a "481".

i think you misunderstood the previous response, this thread is for the Non sanwa receiver, basically the knock offs they wont label them with sanwa numbers such as 481 or 482, just fh3 or fh4 for example. .. if your looking for a fh4 or fh3, you can search for the knock offs.

Knock offs regularly do use the 482 number though.

My Dasmikro 492 v2 clone arrived today. It has the same issue as the previous one, radio brownouts on my car with a weak BEC. My genuine Sanwa FH5 receivers as well as my 482 clones all handle the same test just fine.

Still loving mine, run 2wh, 4wh and 1/8, still not one issue :-) Never tried Dasmikro though.when i find something that works i stick with it

Are any of yours FH5? As far as I know Dasmikro are the only ones that have cloned FH5 so far. And the FH4 ones are solid, that's not an issue. It's specific to the FH5 models.

gigaplex, what particular ESC are you thinking has a weak BEC?
