Default LRP New Fan Problem

Hi. I have a LRP flow competition speed controller which is running my motor fan through the receiver power wire. II have damaged the cooling fan in a crash and am in the process of replacing it.
I have tried 3 aftermarket fans now and all of them have blown straight up. I plug in the damaged LRP fan and it works.
What am I missing here?

If you need them to blow down then you have them to mount upside down

But it looks to me you have checked polairity. You are sure they have the right voltage? No 5v fan running on a full charged 8.4v LiPo?

The receiver is powered by the ESC wire (6v) which is plugged into No2. port. The fan is plugged into the battery port on the receiver. Checked output from this and is 6v. My LRP fan works fine off it, but any other fan I try won’t work and gets damaged. All fans have a voltage rating range to accomodate 6v.
Definitly connected correctly. No wire crossing.
