However, the transmitter and receiver occasionally don't sync properly on power-up. I must cycle the power on both transmitter and receiver (sometimes several times) to get the link firmly established. When one must get on the track quickly, with other racers waiting to start a race, it's a real pain.

There are a handful of guys at the clubs in my area who love their DSMR setups, however some have admitted a rare glitch from time to time. I tested DSMR with the DX2E a couple years ago and experienced glitching during a practice session on a large open track, it would consistently glitch in a far corner, but I was able to correct it by changing position on the driver stand and elevating the Tx in the air above my head, it appeared to be a line of sight issue as there was a rather large step up jump that was partially blocking that section of track, although I could see the car from where I was standing, if I had lowered my head to my waist (where I was holding the radio) then the radio was blocked from the line of sight and it would glitch every time in that far corner.

Interesting information, If you have any additional details please feel free to PM me here or email me at [email protected]
Hard to answer anything from a couple of years ago, but the SR415 has been a work horse for the Spektrum line. New DX2E has ability to connect with a Bluetooth adapter to an iPhone or android device to give it more functionality. Cool Stuff.
Let me know if there is anything I can help with.
