Here is my favorite layout in the past few years from 2011. It was shot with a android phone back in 2011 so it's not high quality.

What else does everyone have hanging out there on youtube?
Last years 8th scale track was badazz. Youtube 2014 motorama

It was good in practice but the main dragonback thing didn't hold up and quickly deteriorated. Other than that I loved the big triple!

I agree that the big triple was fantastic, but so much focus was on the front dragonback which turned into a giant roller by the end of the mains. I liked the way that section was on Friday in practice better than the revised version that we had on race day.

it seems every year the 1/8th scale track is good on the first day and completely blown to pieces by Sunday. Hopefully this year it will be a bit better. Those ruts were HUGE last year lol

Ruts? Those were moon craters big enough to swallow a truggy and a half. Hopefully this year the layout won't need any changes like they did to the front section last year on Saturday morning before the heats started...
Looking forward to my 2nd Motorama

I agree the ruts are part of what make this event different. The fact is they only get to put the track in a day or two before we start running on it. No way there is enough time for the dirt to settle and get enough water on it for it to be solid.
Gotta setup your vehicles for big air and rough conditions.

Sounds like you need to be racing over on the 1/10 track where its all nice and smooth

But really, like everybody said, the rough track is what makes the 1/8 track what it is. Everyone has to race on the same track. Make your first runs count before the track really gets rough and slows down

Hey guys this my first Motorama and out of state event, and I will be flying in from Wisconsin and was wondering how you guys transport lipo batteries? I would like to just bring them on the airline with me and the rest of my gear. I've done searches online with mixed results some saying yes you can bring them on aircraft and some saying no and everything else in between. I do have a place I could ship them, however if I could save the shipping cost that would be best. Any of you guys that are traveling to this event that could shed some concrete light onto this subject would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to February!
