hey guys.. I was just wondering how many of you on here are planning on bringing a child under the age of 10 to go race. I want to bring my step son but have a problem with the fact that its going to cost 75 buks for a 6 year old child to race a total of maybe 25 minutes.. they should at least let you add the child as like another class or have a seperate cost for child admission. thanks for any input guys

Good point Tom, Tyler is going this year running 2 classes. It would
be nice 2 have something other than sportsman for the little guys.
Its another class for the event, but there are kiddy coos that want
2 try it. I'm sure they will just have 2 run a stock class or sportsman
with the adults. Friday practice rounds should decide if a young guy
should be running sportsman or stock anyway. Its a big $$ weekend
for us, the reduced price for kids would help I'm all for it.

your son is defietely wheelin lately neil jesse has a ways to go but i think bringing him evrywhere i can will only help him to improve. I just think 75 to run sportsman is crazy.. most of our local tracks dont even cherge for sportsman and i really appreciate the owners for doing that. heck i wouldnt mind paying 50 as if it where another class. But the idea that they havent even thought of the kids kinda erks me..

I may be bringing an 11 year old who is a beginner. Have to see how she does between now and then with her school work. I figured I would just let her run my SC10 in the novice class.

Thanks Tom Ty is coming along very fast. It makes my week watching
him wheel. Keep Jesse running as much as u can, its a good sport for
anybody u can just have fun, or drive like its the A-main at the worlds
like us. Lets get the word to the MR staff about maybe doing a
10 or under class sportsman style either free or 1/2 the price. A heat
of shortys on the stand would get the most cheers handsdown. Theres
so many spectators with kids that would love 2 join the fun that we have.
Maybe someone with a shop can do rentals RTR with transpnders so
fans or kids can race. A dad came by my table last year with a 4yr old
I let him work the throttle and turn the wheels of my truck, his eyes
were the size of golf balls thats what its all about.

Heck, I feel that way about the cost for myself and I am 38. I come to race and not do any of the other events through out the facility. I know a lot of guys live for this event, but after doing it for one year, it's not made for me. I also have two sons and we live 45 minutes away, so the travel expenses are not so bad compared to many others.

Kind of amazing to see all the ceiling damage and it appears the cabinets and granite countertops appeared to have no damage. You can see the remains of a recessed light on the countertop. I have seen lipos go up in the bags and still shoot flames 4 feet high, I guess uncontained they can go a lot higher. So, I hate to say it though, lipo bags are not all the answer either.

this pic is photo shoped, all the wite walls are still white. no smoke damage at all? the fire brought the whole ceiling down but the top of the cabinet are just fine? theres alot of damage but it looks greatly placed.
