Is controlled practice printed out into heats and rounds? Or will it be first come first serve stand in line and wait for a spot?

they'd probably have to add another day if they lengthened them all. As it is you don't get out of there until Dinnertime on Sunday if you're in one of the last races.
and aside from that, there is a lot to see there other than the RC stuff. You should really take the opportunity to enjoy what Motorama has to offer other than the RC racing.

For the amount of racers and classes that's not bad at all pluss other things to see

Only a few days away!
Just wanted to post this again for those of you who didn't see it (or forgot!)

Motorama Checklist
50 foot extension cord and power strip
Chair (bring a spair cause someone you know will forget one LOL)
Table
tissues or something to blow your nose. The dust gets pretty heavy.
very comfortable shoes. Big event, lots of stuff to see
tire bucket (yes this seems silly but you wouldn't believe how many people don't bring one and tires are a hot mess first day or two on the clay track)
Smart phone users... LiveRC has a mobile site. It will help you keep track of the race that's on the track. mobile.liverc.com
Phone / camera charger!!!! (again you wouldn't believe how many people forget LOL)
Air compressor
If you have an ez-up, they are nice to have as well. But I believe they are more popular on the 1/8th scale side. They define your space a bit better as well
If your only racing one class then I would bring plenty of things to do or check out the show. You will have alot of time in between rounds.
Most important. Motorama is more than an RC race. Yes we are there to compete and try to win, but do yourself a favor, take time to step back and enjoy the entire event. Make it a point to walk away from the pits several times during the day and check out the different things.
Tire Recommendations (based off prior years tracks. contributed by everyone here)

Bob, I am hoping that the excel spreadsheet with the entries on it is not accurate. It has my son and I both wrong. Please advise...

Stuff for wifey to do?
Hey everyone - any ideas on what my non-racing-interest wife can do up in Harrisburg? I already scheduled her for a chocolate massage and facial at Hershey but that's only one day... She'll check out the event a little bit but I expect her to get a little bored. Any other wives/girlfriends going who'll have the same problem? Any ideas?

Tables/Chairs...
If there is anyone local that would be willing to provide 2 - 8ft table and 6 chairs, I would be willing to pay for them and then you get to keep them. Just have them delivered and set-up at the track and take them with you. We are flying in and getting tables from a Home Depot is gonna be hard in our little rental cars. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. I can send over PayPal to cover the cost of the tables/charis.
