Mike, I'm pretty sure those won't work for 21.5 touring.

Default please clarify

12th Scale "Roar Rules"
-17.5 motor timing allowed-blinky esc

Am I correct in assuming that 1/12th scale is going to be 17.5 blinky? If so, it would be good to clarify (or eliminate) the wording "timing allowed".

Good to hear from you Perry, I thought I was being pretty clear with blinky esc but yes I will clarify this tonight on my computer instead of my phone.

Default "blinky" vs "timing"

Dave , Perry , all,

- I believe the official term used by race organizations (ROAR etc) for "Blinky" is NON RAMPING ESC. No timing advance, boost, "cheat" allowed in the ESC.

- Timing/mechanical timing usually applies to the ability to physically "crank up" more timing in the motor itself.

Maybe it would be easiest to say:

Unless otherwise specified:

1. All classes at "The C" are required to use NON-RAMPING i.e. "blinky" ESCs
2. All classes at "The C" are allowed to use advanced motor mechanical timing.

Will the track be open for practice this Friday? I know you are doing a lot of work - and I plan on being there for VTA on Saturday. I'd like to get use to carpet and getting a setup close for it.

If VTA isn't running this Saturday I'll have my 17.5 mini cooper. I hope to run something!!

Vance - We will not be running any mini classes this weekend to avoid any conflicts with the Mini Brawl. That being said, we welcome racers that are interested in racing Touring, VTA, and Pan cars and/or are not attending the Mini Brawl this weekend.

Default Saturday

I think I'll try the 21.5 Touring class this Sat, since it seems half the VTA field has pulled out (Dave B. and Ben).

17.5 touring on carpet!!! Its about time It would be awesome to see some more guys come up for this one! How bout some more 12th scales? Im not sure if I'll venture back into the class but it would be great to some more of them! There has been alot of chatter about this, as well as alot of work go into the track throughout the past two weeks with carpet, paint, and new race council as well as the soon coming "new" race director! This season is going to be a great one and will hopefully only continue to get better as it goes on!
