Looks like VTA is falling off already ... Now have to choose between leaving my 17.5 TC as is and running it or change out the 17.5 for 21.5 TC. No spare 21.5 sitting around so it becomes a little bit of a hassle swapping motors between chassis. Most likely will just try and hang with the 17.5 guys.

Any chance of the track being available on Friday afternoon for some practice and set up time? I don't set up as fast as the more experienced racers - and carpet will be all new to me.

Vance, the track will be open and ready for practice on friday. I might be there finishing some trim but all is good.

If you need any help changing motors or with setup for the carpet one of us will be more than happy to help.

Questions regarding ROAR rules for VTA:

Rules state 21.5 turn brushless and Transmission: single speed only.

1. Does "Transmission: single speed only" mean the same as "blinky", or esc's without timing advance capabilities?

2. For "21.5 turn brushless" - are motors with adjustable timing allowed or are we going with no adjustable timing? I can't tell from the ROAR rules. I believe the USVTA rules are no adjustable timing motors, but the council has stated going with ROAR rules and with ROAR it isn't quite as clear for me.

Just trying to understand the details.

Thanks Dave. I plan on trying to get up there for a bit on Friday. I can change motors ... I just wasn't planning on having too any time soon. Now, as far as setup for carpet goes - I'll have to see how things are handling with my setups that I did based on some web surfing.

I at least have everything documented as to where I'm starting from. And I know, one change at a time and see the effects. It's just starting with the first thing that should be tried is where I sometimes struggle. I sincerely appreciate the offer of help!

I also sincerely appreciate all the work I see occurring at the "C". I was in checking out the work on Sunday. It is awesome. Everything looks so new and fresh!!

Motor timing allowed, blinky esc(no timing advance, turbo, cheat etc.)

Vance, basically all our classes are Blinky ESC, mechanical motor timing is allowed

If you were part of the Tri-County circuit John has points posted on the tri county thread.

All the walls and drivers stand were painted yesterday. New borders for the track will be installed tonight and Vegas layout will be put down thursday evening.

Everything is looking good and should be open for practice on friday and racing saturday, so if your not attending MRH mini brawl bring your sedan in and try our new carpet out.

We have Sweep 32's and SXT 3.0 in stock.

I think I will put in a 21.5 motor into my TC and come practice on Friday with both 21.5 TC and VTA - see which is hooking up the best (hoping that it is both!).

I'm looking forward to Saturday.

BTW.. We haven't forgotten about our Thursday night racers. We'll have the schedule, rules, and other relevant info posted shortly.

Speaking of Sunday, the track will be open for on-road practice. Track hours are 12pm - 5pm.
