Thinking of using 30% heli fuel, whats your thoughts on using heli fuel rsk? I am at least definitely thinking of using a fuel with high oil content for break in and for the first few tanks on the track.

Any fuel is okay as long as you don't lean it too much. Heli fuel won't help if you tune it wrong.

had 5 mains, 7 cars each i think, got a little overcast and started to drizzle a little right after we finished. overall it was a nice day.

ran the ninja with 30% and 3 .1 shims, it ran great. has a real smooth powerband and lots of revs for the back straight. blew up my plastic brake hub in the first main, gonna need to get an aluminum. i didnt like the kfactory tires too much, i think the wear a little higher then normal, chunking was so-so but the plastic dish is nice and tough. for the price cant complain i guess.

2 weeks to fine tune my gearing ratios, do a semi-tear down, maybe replace bearings. next race im gonna lean out the motor and see what it can do.

Blew up many of those brake hubs. Even twisted the brake disc once. Aluminum is the way to go.

Motor shows promise. Once you lean it out it'll be a rocket.

Quark...better get your clutch setting. Should I say...2D?

Yup, saw the front inside wheel leave the ground. Need to work on my GT. Was gonna use the OS Speed but it ran good at the race once I got the clutch to do what I wanted. Amazing what the right clutch for the engine does. I have some old motors that I can use.

woo hoo, I think i need to get my GT back together. I wanna experiment making a cage for it. I think im going with hallow steel pipe and try my hand at some brazing, or maybe just solder it. Im thinking solder is not goign to be strong enough, might just braze it. BTW, hows the rc sprint body that associated makes? does it fit the GT? Im probably gonna do custom body panels out of sheet aluminum or stainless sheets, but not for a wing, cause one crash, and that thing is gonna crumple. But if the associated body fits good, i'll pick it up. still got my 12cv in my gt LOL.

I think there's one at the store. That's what the other guys were using. Gotta do some body work no matter which body you use.

Quark was thinking of Costco. The oval tracks are too far for me (Waianae and Waimanalo). Maybe fuss around after one of our races.
