Get the 22 if you want to learn how to drive but just realize that if you plan on staying in the hobby rtr's cost more once you upgrade everything to kit specs and quality electronics.

just get both, mark is right though, getting an RTR may cost you more in the long run. i know from first hand experience. my first sc10 was a RTR and it probably cost twice as much to upgrade it to factory team spec and better electronics.

I plan on staying in the hobby for a while. If there wasn't gonna be a track on the island; I probably wouldn't get to deep into racing. Everyone that I raced with at LIR was really friendly and courteous with one another. Angelo, Don, and I started racing at LIR around the same time. They both got a little more into the hobby than I did, lol.

I probably will get both eventually. I have too many hobbies and this is the least expensive one, lol. I'll probably get the 22 as an RTR and the TEN as a kit. I can always take the Savox servo out of the slash and put it into the TEN.

FYI the SCTE doesn't come as a kit, it comes as either a RTR (soon) or an ARR (Almost Ready to Run). the ARR is already built and just needs electronics.

BUY A KIT! THEN BUY GOOD QUALITY ELECTRONICS and RADIO! DON'T BUY A RTR IF YOU PLAN ON STICKING AROUND! I spent double what I had to when I first started.
