Hello racers….

We have an exciting offroad race lined up on August 20 + 21. It is the 7th Annual “Dash-4-Cash” offroad race. However, this year, we have a little twist and hopefully the start of something really big.

In the past, cash races interested only the top racers, after all, the top sponsored racers have the best chance to win the money. But for this event, ANYONE CAN WIN BIG PRIZES, not just the PROS! How about a full Losi kit for a B main prize? How about a bunch of tires for the C-main? Maybe a brushless speedo, motor and/or battery for the B,C or D main in Short Course? These are not cheesy little awards but substantial prizes from a great group of companies that have jumped on board to help CRC Raceway promote the event. We have cash in the A-main and some large expensive goodies in the lower mains.

Speaking of A mains… how about a guaranteed $250 to win buggy or truggy? Or a cool $150 to win 2wd Short Course, 4wd Short Course and 1/8th E-buggy? This is guaranteed prize money with additional purse money to be awarded based on entries. Also, we have random “lottery” prizes as well just for being part of the event. All you need to do is enter we will put you in the draw.

Enough about the prizes, what about the track and facility? CRC Raceway features a large, challenging offroad track with lighting, AC power, water, Wi-Fi in the pits, huge drivers stand and professional race management; you can count on a good time at CRC. Here is the list of amenities;

1 - Hobby shop on site
2 - Good food on site
3 - AC power for pitting
4 - Bright track lighting – 5600 watts. We can run late, the track is bright and we have no city codes or ordinances to shut us down.
5 - FM Transmitter with large mast antenna broadcasting on 88.9 MHz covering almost 1 square mile
6 - Free camping
7 - Dual track watering system, pump and city water w/ sprinklers
8 - LiveRC broadcast with camera and sound
9 - Large drivers stand holding 17 racers.
10 – High-power loudspeaker system with 10 speakers throughout the area and dual amplifiers.
11 - Separate driver stand sound system for pit man to driver communication
12 - Enclosed, fully windowed, air-conditioned race management tower on the stand.
13 - Dual Wi-Fi to cover much of the pit area.
14 – Renown “CRC dirt”. Packs great, holds up and has very little tire wear.

Schedule;

Friday – PIT SETUP ONLY, track CLOSED. No one gets to practice. You don’t have to miss work.
Saturday – Practice from 7 AM – 12:45. (must be registered and paid to practice) Entries close AT 12:30. At 1:00 PM, 4 Qual points rounds.
Saturday after qualifying – Buggy/Truggy “Crash and Burn Race” - $10, winner takes all. 20 laps. No marshals.
Sunday – practice 7 AM to 8:45 AM, mains at 9 AM.

Electric Mains – 10 minutes, double A-mains
Nitro – 30 minute minimum A-main, hopefully more if mother nature is nice to us.

Fees - $45 for Nitro, $30 for Electric each class.

Hi Gang,


Quick update on the Dash for Cash this weekend, early forecast is good weather and decent temperatures. We have race teams coming from western NY and Canada as well as a good group of locals. Guarateed big money and big prizes... Should be a great special 2 day race this weekend at CRC Raceway in Rome, NY.




R/C Pro Series back again in September!

Also...
Rescheduled R/C Pro Series race from Chaplin now scheduled Sept 2-3-4 at CRC Raceway in Rome. Same great Pro Series competition as the CRC June race, but a second run at it in September.
