SRI Raceway (Louisville, Kentucky) Off Road Now Open
#61
Hey guys, we did decided to cancel racing this weekend due to the way the weather is looking this upcoming weekend, along with the set back that the rain at the beginning of this week did to us. I didn't want to wait until Thursday night to cancel just because I knew we had ALOT of people from out of town who were going to be here this weekend, and I didn't want to put them in a bad spot with canceling plans. It sucks but it is just the weather that we get in April. I hope everyone understands and that we can get a good opening weekend on April 23. April 30th is Local Joe round 1 at SRI, and it's going to be HUGE. I have heard from people from Tennessee, West Virgina, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana who will be there. We have alot of exciting info to release on that race over the next week so stay tuned. Here is a pic of the what we had done on Sunday until we got rained on and had to quit. It's getting there! See you guys soon. Take it easy

It hasn't been cancelled yet. They probably won't make that call until Friday.

We are going to try open for practice on Friday at 4, but if we have to keep it closed past that to get the track repaired for Saturday we will. With that said, there definitely should still be some time allowed on Friday for practice.
If for some reason we don't get to practice on Friday, I will open the gates at 7am on Saturday morning, otherwise it will be 8am.
Tire wise, it's hard to say just because the laps put on it this weekend will be the first ones that this layout has seen. I would say as a safe bet start off with a medium or soft city block, or tire with that style pin. If the track breaks in like I think it will, you can probably run a medium compound small pin once the surface comes to life.
Looking forward to seeing everyone Friday and Saturday. Let me know if you have any more questions

It should be 7am because of the 4 hour practice before the race. The track flows sooo well and is fast too. We spent like 7 or 8 hours getting it ready for tomorrow, with all the rain we've had the last 2 weeks the track is freaking sweet!!! Its not 100% but its damn near there!!!! Give Luke a HUGE thanks for all the work hes done in the last month getting this track built!!!!
