Hey guys,

This is going to be a great race to attend. These guys at CT. have been putting a lot of time and effort into the track. It has great traction, a good flow and is really fun to attend. Come out and support Kenny, Jamie and crew for their hard work.

Where can I find the rules for IGT SPEC?

dj apolaro 05-07-2010 09:52 AM

OK guys! On behalf of Controlfeakz and Contact RC (My new tire line) I am going to have a big treat for a lucky Racer. Make sure to make this event to find out. It will be reveled at the track Saturday morning very early. Right about the same time as practice starts.

See you there,

DJ Apolaro

J.Gonzalez 05-07-2010 09:54 AM

GT Rules:

Rubber Tires
Scale Type Sedan/Coupe Body
Pull Start/RotoStart or Basic Type Engine. (No high end engines)

This is supposed to be a fun class at a reasonable price. We request that racers police themselves accordingly.

Racer Z 05-09-2010 06:19 PM

I will be there!

dj apolaro 05-10-2010 09:45 AM

Make sure you bring the rest of the Viginia and DC boys with you!

We will be there dj. We came up for the first club race there track is amazing. Kenny and the guys have a great set-up. I am going to spread the word hopefully I can get Sam, Nigel and some of the Cali boys to come. I love the track already. watching Jamie, Kenny, richie drive there 8 scale makes me want to leave my 10 scale at home and just bring my 8 scale. Chaplin is 8 scale country for sure.

J.Gonzalez 05-10-2010 10:01 AM

It is not 1/8 country....it is SERPENT country

Serpent-Dan 05-10-2010 10:29 AM

If I'm still living in NY in July I'm there! Nigel is in the Navy right now Hobo so he won't be running. If enough of the other Kamikaze locals come over then it's a chance Sam will as well

Just bring both ready to go and decide when you get here. Put both on the track and which ever feels better is the chosen one for the weekend.

Goooooooooooooooooo MUGEN!!!
Had to be there. Ask Gail.

HoboShop 05-10-2010 01:09 PM

8 scale family do you think is the better overall engine? 35+21, flash .21, or the collari 09 stock and or tuned. I need another .21 engine. What is the difference in the powerbands of the engines.:)

J.Gonzalez 05-10-2010 01:41 PM

I am still going thru my inventory of Cordoba Engines 35 plus based. (I really like this engine).

Cant go wrong with 35plus. Ken and Jay run flash and also seem very fast but they are alot more expensive. Go with what your budget allows they all work.

AndrewNicholas 05-10-2010 01:52 PM

I have owned all but the flash and from what I have seen they all perform similarly. It comes down to head shim , clutch and tuning.

Race update:

Gt class has been changed from spec to open. This will make it easier for all to attend. Rubber tires and scale type bodies are still required.

Novarossi has some new engine in the works both 3 and 5 port model for gt/rally class.

J.Gonzalez 05-10-2010 04:05 PM

I was really close but I think I need a cooler day to do it. It was 87 degrees at the last race! I am going for it at the next race!

J.Gonzalez 05-11-2010 04:02 AM

Just curious why 4 rounds of qual instead of 6 on a 3 day race?

J.Gonzalez 05-26-2010 07:14 AM

Andrew,

This is the same format we used last year and same format forgass uses. It works great and allows for reasonable start/stop times and reasonable time to travel for out of towners.
