Is the scoring for this event going to be Rocket round or Qual points? Just wondering because I won't be able to make it on Friday (due to work) but can make it for the weekend. If it goes by Qual points, it is no use for me to participate due to it being detrimental to my standings missing that Friday. Please advise.

Juan

Juan,
Yes, it will be Rocket Round and we look forward to seeing your entry soon. Double check the entry announcement as I thought that I had noted that it was Rocket Round.
See you soon,
Roger

Yes, this is where it is going down in July 2010. The Gulf Coast Raceway is proud to have been awarded this prestigous race. In preparations for the 2010 200mm Fuel Sedan Worlds, the track has been resurfaced (smoothhhhh), enlarged, and provided with an improved layout.

Come on out and run where the best in the world will be next July.

You guys did change the layout just a little bit (getting onto the backstraight). Also I see all the grass in the open area behind the track. I still miss all the trees, but the grass is a lot better than all the dirt that was there when they cleared the area.

Looks great!!!

Scott,
Yes, the grass has eliminated the dust. The entry onto the back straight has actually changed to be an earlier acceleration point. The major changes are at the off sweeper and the front straight (BIG change). That chicane will bite you if you are not careful.

Are we going to see you in NOV? Already getting a large interst from guys on both coast.
Roger

I never could get through the off sweeper worth a crap, so at least I have something new to try. Not sure about the Nov race. Oct and Nov are shaping up to be pretty busy racing, as long as work will support my addiction, I may come out in November. You will definitely see me at least once before the worlds (since I plan on winning the IFMAR worlds).

Congratulations Scott !!! But it looks like you are going to tie with all of the others who are predicting their respective wins. It's always crowded at the top.

Hope that your work schedule allows you to travel our way in NOV.
Roger

Jeremy,
Looking forward to seeing you adapt to the new chicane on the front straight. It takes a while but it adds a lot of character to the new layout.
See you soon,
Roger
