I am a go for the 30th. As for the tune up at Jackson, I am interested, but will play it by ear based on my schedule and what you guys plan.

Not at all!!!! Matter of fact, I think it would be a great idea to organize some road trips over the summer between our races, even if I'm tied up with offroad at Checkerboard.

If anyone, at anytime, sees an opportunity to race Vintage/RCGT somewhere, just say the word....WORD!!!!!

Hey 0e0e0, you wanna coach the "Travelling Team" ???? LOL

Yo Greg- sorry that I didn't check the board last night and missed your tip on #61. Just got back from the race a little bit ago. Awesome race in the wet. There was more sawing at the wheel than at a lumberjack convention. I went with Garry Owen who was VP at Associated for a bunch of years. We hung with Mike Ford before the show. He's spotter for Brumos Porsche and an RC guy from way back. I'm good buds with Mark Abel, the track operations manager at NJMP and he wants to make their club tennis court into an RC track (nobody plays tennis anyway). There's a strong connection between 1:1 and RC.

Does anybody make a DP body for RC? Maybe somebody has a connection at HPI and could drop a hint?

K-Bo -- "ish" is the operative word there. The wing is kind of clunky.

I might be going a little off topic here, but I'm looking to see if anyone from the SJCCR ranks might be willing to make a trip up to Jackson in the next few weeks to run some USVTA-rules Trans Am. Think of it as a "tune up" race for the Vintage GP event - any takers??? If we can coordinate a date, I'm there...
i might get a free pass memorial day weekend - my wife is thinking about going away for the weekend ...not sure how definite i am at this time, but if I'm free I'll be at Jackson that weekend

Only if I get to oversee the "running" and "passing" drills!!!

Looks like Jackson has scheduled a Memorial Day weekend race on the 23rd - I've suggested USVTA-sanctioned Trans Am racing, and they've already added RCGT to the class schedule. Looks like I know what I'm doing on the 23rd...

Alrighty then....place your right hand on the USVTA/RCGT rule books and repete after me....

I, 0e0e0, do solomly swear to continue the growth of Vintage/RCGT racing in our area, by overseeing official SJCCR road trips over the course of the summer.

I will look at any, and every opportunity, to organize our fellow Vintage/RCGT racers, to spread the message about bringing FUN back to R/C Racing, so help me God.
