Default 2008 J.B.R.L. Offroad Electric Series

Ok. 2007 was another fantastic year with the JBRL electric series. Almost $8000 was given back to the races from the points pool fund.

Lets talk about what is good and bad with the JBRL. Jimmy has some of his own thoughts about improvements for next year as he is always thinking of how to make the series better for the next year making it bigger and better. For the rest of us lets talk continue to voice our opinions on what is good and bad about the series. Jimmy likes to hear your thoughts and although not all suggestions can be implimented he is listening!

The 2008 series will be here before we know it. I will do my best to continue to get infor up at www.jimmybabcock.com as it become official.

Let the talk continue!

A mini class will be a nice addition.

Maybe add some brushless stuff to classes. Most guys have some sort of Bl stuff now. I have both brushed and brushless, but it may draw some guys who have made the move.

Mini's are not popular enough in southern california to have the class. He has had an open offer in the past with no takers.

Some of the tracks we visit are pretty big as well.

As for BL they are allowed in Mod right now. No Spec BL classes.

Casper - What's up? Congrats on the addition to your family. It would be really awesome if Jimmy could add a few brushless classes to the 2008 JBRL series. Maybe a 10.5 and 13.5 Truck, 2wheel, and 4wheel class. That would be cool.

I'll third what Frank and Ronnie are proposing. Make the final race even more important.

All the ideas are great and keep them coming. As you all know I will only do what I feel is best for the racers and the race program. The two day final round is something I have already been working on and thinking about for months and it's looking good. Some of the other ideas have to be tossed around to see if they would benefit our series. Don't count on any other brushless classes besides mod this year since it was never discussed in 2007. I was thinking we would discuss different classes in 2008 in preparation for 2009. Can't really spring new classes on people and expect the classes to be full. We will take votes in 2008 to see what classes you guys would like to see in 2009. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!!!!
