Default f1 & mini

The f1 class is growing and the talent is top notch. Dave sorry for getting into you coming on to the straight but my car was pushing like a train and just wouldn't turn, but I know why and that won't ever happen again. Rod you ran a good race what happened, you were running 11's in the Qual but in the main you were in the 12's.
Mini guys thanks for showing up and getting it innnn, congrats Ken B (Lex Luther) I will be back and next time it aint gonna be nice

Won't be at the C this weekend, its my anniversary so me and the wife are going to Vegas (what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas). F1 and Mini guys represent.

Cost wise how long does a set of wgt tires last, how many races? The cost of tires and need to run fresh tires has put me off in the past to onroad due to budget. Do the tires being foam need to be cut / shaved often?

The WGT tires are a pretty hard compound so they do last fairly well. I have two race weekends and a lot of practice laps. We cut our foams when we buy them but unless they get really cone shaped I see no need to re-cut them. The "C" usually has them and the fronts were 12.99 and the rears were 14.99 I think, I have a tire truer that anyone can use when I'm at the track. Hope this helps.

Saturday was a blast. I'm glad Mike and his son had a great time. I loved seeing the smile on his son's face as he became more and more proficient at Sr. Spec each time he went out.

The pits were packed! Nice to see so many people for racing. I wish there would have been mini cooper. I'll keep signing up for it and having my Sr. Spec in reserve in case there aren't enough (at least until I get more comfortable with 17.5 spec).

I appreciated all the conversation, tip swaps, and an atmosphere that is all about helping each other get better and better.

Default WGT

I am interested in the WGT. I was wondering if I need a tekin for it to be competitive or if it could be an open class so I would be able to run one of my old esc's? Cost of the car is great but to put a tekin in instantly doubles the investment. Just a thought.

It seems that in pancar type chassis there is not much of a speed differencebtween timing and no timing

What motor are you running? 13.5 open right. Might set mine up soon and play off and on. All I have to do is bolt a motor in. Need to true tires.
I would think that 13.5 open is faster than 13.5 spec. It sure is in 1/12th scale.

Correct. We run 13.5 and me and my dad have a truer if you or anybody else needs it.

I'm not sure how much difference there would be in speed but i don't think anyone will object to you running a straight speedo. Steve i have a tire truer if you need to borrow one. I think the WGT class will be alot of fun and good racing if we get 6 to 7 cars on the track, so bring those cars out and have some fun.

You know what WGT stands for, don't you ????

Winners Go Touring !!!!

WGT never got going ,there was no middle , As for the end ,we all missed it ! !!!!

Are current classes are:

Spec touring
open touring
Senior Spec
4wd mini
F-1

If this is not enough, maybe we should run some other dead classes like ,VTA and RCGT

Here is an idea, want to run a new class , instead of spending $250 on the car ,$25 on tires, $150 on a speedo,$50 on a one cell lipo. Spend just $80 buck on a mod motor and let get Mod touring going!!!!

The Short list of Mod racers,

Ray K
Reggie B
Mike Jr.
Steve W
Mark T
Adrian
Randy
Karl H

Ray K , now leaving my soap box !!!!
