I have a F103 I would like to try to run. I like the idea of a stock silver can. It's what we ran at GB and was plenty fast and fun.

I think I am going to switch off between the F1 and mini. And continue to run Senior Spec.

Was the weekend before the Nats a typical turn out for the C?

Default Sportsmen Thursday

Had another great night of racing. With 15 entries and a brand new racer, What more can you ask for ? I do want to say thank you to all the racers for coming out and making the new people feel welcome. I also want to thank my support group, Troy (computer guy), Casey and Joe (for calling my race). Thanks, without you all this night would not be a success.

Great times were had at the 'C' for Gladiator night as expected. I want to thank everyone that helped me to get up and running. The only equipment that I used that was my own was my radio (minus the antenna) and battery pack. Everything else was loaned to me by the crew at the 'C'. Thank you for your generosity.

As usual I learned a great deal about car setup and racing from the folks last night. I got a great lesson about the use of tire compound on the TT-01. I've read about traction roll on this forum but never really understood what that was until last night. I’ll just say that I'm thoroughly impressed with the durability of these TT-01s.

I'm getting the misc parts that I need to complete my car and should be ready to have more fun next week. Thanks Ed, Troy, and everyone that comes out to support the Thursday night racing. I appreciate the fact that a rookie driver like me has a place to race and learn in a friendly and laid back environment.

I'm sure Ed will chime in, but I believe any Silver Can motor is allowed.

If you can make it on Saturday's, you may want to consider the Senior Spec class.

If you let me know early enough, you can even use one of our Loaner cars (rolling chassis, complete with electronics and a radio) at absolutely no cost. You only have to pay the race fee! Now, how's that for a bargain!

Wow, that is a bargain. What is the fee? Pardon my ignorance, but who all makes the silver cans?

i believe the silver can is tamiya only and the loaners they have for senior spec are top notch they have all the upgrades that are allowed and setup already for you. My friend barrowed one and was impressed.

Sweet. I appreciate the feedback. This is much more than I've gotten in some of the other threads.

Well I work a 3 on and a 3 off so I should probably make one or the other once a week. Now I just need to get my esc and I'll be g2g. I may just come out and use the loaner before then.

On Thursday night it's called silver can class, but most of the guys run a black can.

The silver can is the silver motor that comes in the tamiya kits. The black can is "Sport Turned" http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=53068
which alittle faster motor but same size, so you can just replace the motor to go faster.

P.S. "The Track" seems not to be nubee friendly
