on behalf of all of the 1/10th scale runners, i would like to appoligze to all micro drivers for the chaous that happened durring practice and the fact that micros were usually on the loosing side of the crash

i saw many crashes between a micro and a sedan, and the micro usually had parts roling down the banking into the infield(especially that mini-z that went down the straight, and john trino NAILED it with wheels, batteries, and electronics rolling down to the infield)

and Genetic, hurry up with the chassis for your micro!!!

Someone was braze enough to run a Mini-z out there.

Intelligentsia 10-05-2003 07:50 PM

lol. I wish I could have seen that.

For those of us who actually have the ability to control our micros we really don't run into problems with the 1/10 cars.

gtypecanare 10-05-2003 07:52 PM

I can see micro's and 1/10th out there, but a mini-z yikes!

Intelligentsia 10-05-2003 07:53 PM

Now that actually does take some bravery. That must have been a funny sight to see that car get punted by a 1/10.

Was there a good modified class on sat? I'm hoping people show up on Tuesday for mod, I got a new motor today :sneaky:

gtypecanare 10-05-2003 09:22 PM

What are the micro class rules and when do you guys race, I'm seriously thinking about a micro right now for Socal.

Bubblestc3 10-05-2003 09:29 PM

the mini-z was pretty cool(castrol/mugen nsx), it had lights on the front and the back, blue on the front, and red on the rear. i was picking my car up off the track but heasitated to see the car run. he got halfway down the straight and BAM!, parts are flying everywhere and a 1/10th is pulling a wheelie down the straight!the guy did not even have time to get on the drivers stand! but i was very proud, i did not hit one micro while i was there!

ok, ok, but that one was asking for it;) :D :D :D :D :D

and i think the class rules are in the front window

i could be wrong

but isn't there a bl mod on tuesday?

Randy Caster 10-05-2003 09:51 PM

Yeah, there's always the BL class, I just wanted to go a little faster :sneaky:

The Tues night turn out has been relatively low. I'm not sure if it's worth my time and money. I'll see about getting a hold of some of the guys and start making it out there. But then again, there must be incentive.

Randy Caster 10-05-2003 10:29 PM

You gonna come on Tuesday Neil? Bring the mod man!

What micro class would you plan on racing? The stock class is hella boring IMO. I would recommend mod.

We have been running on the first Saturday of every month but we are now looking to expand the class to the first and third Saturdays of every month. We intend to be there on the 18th of this month.

What type of tires, motors and batteries do the micros run?

gtypecanare 10-05-2003 10:44 PM

When you talk about mod, are you referring using the Team Orion Big Block motor or the Speed 300. I'm a newbie at micro cars, all I know about the Micro RS4 was from Rods experience with the cars.

And would the trick to build a kit car or piece-meal one out of hop-ups? Any suggestions?
