Can't count VTA the rules are set up to try different scenarios to make it more fun. Have you run the track backwards yet?

The off road standard is 5 minute qualifiers 6 minute mains. I have no idea why

When I was a race director I would spread out the quals but pack the mains! Learn how to pass buddy

My only experience is indoor off road clay wet, outdoor loose dirt, clay ovals and pavement. Wish the local carpet track was still open but I never got a chance to run there. Carpet sounds interesting to me because the surface shouldn't vary as much as clay or dirt. But I enjoy indoor clay simply because it's less maintenance than dirt and my track changes their layout every 6 months.
